JESSICA
PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Jessica found Sandy Feet Initiative through a friend who sent her a news clipping about the organization.  She immediately filled out an application to volunteer and it was love at first meeting.

“It was everything I wish I had while growing up with a sibling with a disability”.  Having a younger brother with cerebral palsy, Jessica understands the mission, direction, and passion Sandy Feet Initiative works towards to support the siblings of people with disabilities; it is also what she based her career on.

Jessica graduated with a degree in Recreation Administration, Therapeutic Recreation Services. As a certified recreation therapy specialist, Jessica creates, plans, and implements recreation, leisure, and mental health-related groups and activities for various special populations to improve their quality of life.  Currently, Jessica creates programs for kids, teens, and adults in mental health inpatient and outpatient settings.

In her free time, Jessica loves to read, practice yoga, and camp and hike with her husband and dogs.
